Democrats Expose Themselves

I couldn’t sleep Wednesday night.

Normally I don’t go looking for fights, even though they often find me, but I was bored!

I decided to troll the leftwits at the Huffington Post forums.

Okay, that isn’t exactly true.  I was reading stories about the floor vote at the DNC convention to add the words “God” and “Jerusalem” back into the Democrat’s platform, and I wanted to see how the liberals were reacting to it.  It all started out as simple honest interest in how they viewed those events.  I didn’t plan to engage in any heckling, but, as I said, I was bored!

For me, the events of Wednesday’s floor vote sums up everything about the Democrats in one neat little package.  All you ever needed to know about them is encapsulated in one little video caught by C-Span:

1)      Racism is alive and well, and resides in the Democrat Party.

2)      Democrats will go to any lengths to deceive the public.

3)      The Godless do indeed make up a large contingent of the DNC.

4)      Anti-Semitism is rampant among liberals.

5)      Democrats use crass demagoguery to keep minority factions in line.

6)      Democrats will throw their own under the bus.

7)      Votes only count to Democrats if they like the results.

Racist Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (who thinks that he belongs to “the” race) was the perfect choice by the Democrats to represent them as their Convention Chairman.  He embodies the liberal notion of placing the color of one’s skin ahead of the content of their character, and, as if any further proof was needed, this event leaves no doubt that he is personally bereft of any such character.

This vote was a set up from the beginning.  It was a contrived effort to attack Mitt Romney for not being 100% in line with the Republican platform, which, in this case apparently calls for abortion to be restricted with no exceptions.  Romney would leave exceptions for rape, incest and the health of the mother.  Democrats spent a good part of last week trying to make some political hay out of that difference, but didn’t gain any traction.  Most everyone knows that a fresh political candidate has little control over their party platform.  Only incumbents, like Barack Obama, really have that power.

The Democrats concocted this political maneuver in order to try to slam Romney while portraying Barack Obama as a forceful leader.  They were deriding Romney for not having the “courage” to attack the Republican platform and force it to mirror his own views.  The original wording of the Democrats platform was written with the intent of setting the stage to allow for the “heroic” Obama to rush in and save the day by demanding that his own platform be changed to his will.

Unfortunately, for them, they let the cat out of the bag earlier in the week by letting it be known that Obama signed off on the original wording.

Also unfortunately, for them, the masquerade backfired in a spectacular and glorious fashion!

So, as Villaraigosa took the stage at the DNC, with his teleprompter already displaying the results of a vote he had not yet taken, he was met with something that he didn’t expect:

Resistance!

Everybody knows that happy little liberals are not allowed to disagree with the stated party line!  It doesn’t even matter how ridiculous the spin might be!  They’ll keep to it.  I guess they just weren’t prepared for the talking points to change, and Villaraigosa was DEFINITELY not prepared for the delegate’s reaction to those changes!

The delegate’s reaction to the notion of adding God back to the platform was very telling, as was the reaction that I saw among many liberals posting at The Huffington Post.  They railed at the notion of the “sky fairy” being mentioned in a political setting.  They revealed that they believe that anyone who believes in such “fairy tales” could not be rational or intelligent.

I pointed out to them that it was Obama himself that forced the wording changes.  So, either Obama believes in God, which, by their logic, would make him irrational, or Obama doesn’t believe in God, which makes his own platform a lie. 

By their own definition, Obama is either an idiotic lunatic, or a liar… or both.

They REALLY didn’t like to hear that much!  They weren’t able to refute the point, so many of my posts were deleted by the site moderators and deemed as “personal attacks”.  Apparently pointing out logical fallacies to a liberal equates to attacking them personally.

The Anti-Semitism among liberals and Democrats was evidenced by the people carrying “Arab-American Democrat” signs (like we really need more hyphenated “Americans”?) and shouting “NO!” to the notion of confirming Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.  There is a huge contingent of Pro-Palestinian, Anti-Israel Democrats.  They may, in fact, make up the majority of that party.  Jewish people in America are finally starting to wake up to that reality, and more and more are “defecting” to the Republican Party every day.  I thought it very telling that the Democrats had to rush out to attempt damage control.

There was even the claim that conservative Christians only care about Israel because, according to Palm Beach County Democratic Chairman Mark Alan Siegel, “The Christians just want us to be there so we can be slaughtered and converted and bring on the second coming of Jesus Christ”.

Disgusting.

But what I thought was the funniest part about this whole ordeal was how the vote was rigged from the beginning, and I was delighted as I watched Villaraigosa throw his own party’s delegates under the bus!  The look on his face was just pure comedy gold!

Two-thirds of the delegates would have been required to accede to the changes for the vote to have passed, but there is no way that anyone residing within a realm with the slightest connection to reality could claim there was a 2/3 vote in favor of either side.

But the fix was in.

Thanks to video taken at the event, we know now that Villaraigosa’s teleprompter was already set up for him to read the results as being in favor of making the changes.  This demonstrates beyond any doubt that the Democrats only care about votes if those votes are going their way. 

If they will ignore the votes of their own delegates to fix an election at their own convention, how can that leave any doubt about what they would do in a general election?

This one event nearly sums up the entire case against the Democrats and liberals.

Why the Democrats Can Win Elections

My first day back in college (today) was fairly instructive, if unintentionally so.

As an accounting major, I am taking a business class.  It’s pretty standard stuff.  Nothing too extreme.  Apart from a fairly decent narrative from my professor, I would have been bored to tears.

Until he said one thing that woke me up pretty quickly…

He began to expound on the two philosophies of wealth; infinite wealth and finite wealth.

Infinite wealth is the theory that wealth is created, and therefore in unlimited supply, whereas finite wealth theorizes that there is only so much wealth to be had, thus anyone with too much of it prevents others from attaining more.

At one point, he asked us to raise our hands if we believed that wealth is created.

A no-brainer, right?  Or so I thought.  Of course, I raised my hand.

When he asked about finite wealth, to my dismay, more than half of the class raised their hands, at which point the professor went on to briefly say that there is merit in both theories.

Did he really believe that, or was he simply “going along to get along”?

Either way, it made me uncomfortable, because there can be no merit whatsoever in the theory of finite wealth.

The notion that there is only one pie to be divided–and that those who have a bigger slice are taking away from others–ignores the person who baked the pie.

Hard work creates wealth.  Without it, there is no pie at all.  But Barack Obama and his supporters are legion, and they believe that the pie willed itself into existence.  Moreover, they believe that they deserve an equal slice of that pie, whether they helped to bake it, or not.

If I buy a house that is in poor condition, and work to clean it up and repair it, the house would be worth much more (theoretically) than what I originally payed for it.  In this way wealth and prosperity are created.

I’m sure that I am preaching to the choir here, but seeing so many people mindlessly buy into the notion of finite wealth first-hand really did open my eyes (wider) to the stark differences between conservatives like me and the liberals that we oppose on a daily basis.

And with people who are that thoughtless having the power to vote, it is no wonder that ideologues like Barack Obama and other liberal Democrats can pander to them enough to win elections.

Crazy Uncle Joe Strikes Again!

Vice President Joe Biden is a walking, talking gaffe machine on steroids.

Liberals love “Uncle Joe”.

The President of our Senate literally does nothing more than run around the country saying stupid things.  That is his entire job, and he does it well.

For the life of me, I can not think of a single thing that this man has accomplished in his entire career.  And no, liberals, managing to get himself re-elected to the Senate a number of times doesn’t count as an accomplishment, as much as you may think that getting elected is all that matters.

I’m beginning to think that Obama may indeed be a brilliant strategist.  He knew that his policies would go over like a stone for most people, and he needed insurance against getting impeached.

Enter Joe Biden.

No one wants to see that guy become President of anything.

That the media consistently sweeps under the rug the rantings of good old “Uncle Joe” is proof enough of their extreme bias.  But Biden’s latest trip into brain-addled psychedelia crosses lines, even for him.

In front of a small crowd in North Carolina, Biden made some of the most heinous remarks I’ve heard yet, and I hope that at least some people in the media call him out for them.  I’m not even going to quote him.  You really just need to watch it for yourself.  It’s short.

I’m not even sure to start with this one, but I may actually be more frightened of the people fawning in the background with their glassy eyes and painted smiles, dutifully and mechanically slapping their hands together in response to a statement that anyone with even a modicum of intelligence would reject instantly.

The fact that Joe Biden feels comfortable enough to bring up Paul Ryan’s deceased father says it all.  He knows he won’t be called on it, despicable as it may be.  Ryan’s father died when he was fifteen years old.  That should be off-limits for any politician.  But the Democrats have no class whatsoever, and the double-standard in play allows them to get personal in the ugliest of ways, while the media happily goes along with their narrative that Republicans are equally ugly for daring to talk about the actual policies of this president.

But “Show me your budget”..?

Really, Joe..?!

How insane is that?

So, by your own standards, Joe, since you have no budget, you have no values at all..?

That one I can buy.

Even assuming that Biden had anything at all to do with the Obama budget proposals, which is unlikely, those budgets failed to get a single vote even from Democrats in the Senate, much less Republicans.  Given the disastrous end to his budget proposals, Obama might actually be considering giving Biden the credit for them.

Biden, as President of the Senate, has not seen a budget passed in three years, despite the fact that the Constitution requires one to be passed.  Apart from Obama’s laughable efforts, the Democrats haven’t even bothered to propose a budget, at all.

But Paul Ryan has, and the Democrats are terrified of it.

Did the Democrats work with Ryan to compromise and find bi-partisan solutions?  They’re supposed to be all about that, right?

On the contrary, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid won’t even allow a vote in the Senate on any budget passed in the House, because he knows they have a good chance of passing in the Senate, even under a Democrat majority.

Talk about the “Party of NO”.

Yes, the Democrats are terrified of the Ryan budget proposals, even though it would be Romney’s proposals taking the lead in a Romney/Ryan administration.  But what terrifies them even more is the contrast of a sensible, intelligent Ryan to the senseless, unintelligible Biden that will become more apparent the closer we get to November, despite the media’s efforts to hide it.

Who would be a better leader for our country?

Democrats don’t want Americans asking that question.

Axelrod Goes “All-in”

In a couple of my recent pieces, I outlined how the Obama campaign is becoming more desperate, and why.  They’ve stooped to having allies make ridiculous and laughable claims, but they don’t care if people are laughing, because that is of no consequence to them.  The claims, no matter how ludicrous, may still achieve the goals they desire.

But now they’ve lowered the bar even deeper into the mud.

This guy’s horrible comb-over symbolizes his horrible brand of politics.

Having Harry Reid make obviously false claims about Romney’s taxes hasn’t had the effect of forcing Romney to release more tax returns (yet), and the Obama campaign is turning its sights elsewhere.

Over the last few days, Obama himself has taken to making the claim that Romney intends to raise taxes on the middle class, a patently false claim no matter how you look at it.  When asked about this claim, Democrats prevaricate and stumble on about how refusing to raise taxes on the evil rich people (read: small business owners and job creators) is somehow a tax increase on the middle class.

But their devout sycophants will willingly spread the lie, and many people who don’t keep their eye on the ball will probably believe them.  That, my friends, is the reality of politics.  The Obama campaign is banking on the notion that those people who are currently on the fence won’t be doing a lot of fact-checking before they vote.

And it appears that they are willing to go “all-in” on that strategy.

Draw and STRIKE!

In an article appearing in Draw and STRIKE!, author Brian Cates illustrates just how feckless the Obama campaign has become in its quest to retain power.  I highly recommend that every conservative read his piece, and spread it as much as humanly possible.

David Axelrod has always used a strategy of exposing dirt on Obama’s opponents in the past.  His modus operandi often consists of getting a sympathetic Chicago judge to unseal an opponent’s divorce records, since wild, unsubstantiated claims made during divorce proceedings are often very damaging to any political candidate, no matter how false they may be.

In 2008, Axelrod did much the same thing.  He attacked McCain’s previous marriage and even went so far as to circulate rumors that Sarah Palin secretly gave birth to her own grandson.  That, coupled with the blank slate that was Obama, allowed them to run on “Hope and Change” while still using amazingly crass tactics to debase their opponents.

But Obama is not a blank slate to the American public anymore, and “Hope and Change” is off of the table for Axelrod.  Worse yet (for him), Axelrod can’t attack Romney’s very solid marriage.  He just can’t get the dirt he needs for his scorched earth strategy.

So just what is a wayward campaign manager to do..?

Apparently Axelrod has arrived at his conclusion…  Lie.

Lie big.  Lie some more.  No lie is too big or too ridiculous.  They believe that anyone paying enough attention to matter has already decided how they will cast their vote.  Those remaining are all potential suckers.

I won’t go too far into Cates’ piece here; it speaks for itself.  Some news outlets have reported this, but we all know most of them will turn a blind eye.  I suggest for everyone to spread this particular message far and wide.

Because otherwise, a lot of people will believe the lies.

Why Obama is So Desperate

Mitt Romney has released tax returns, but you wouldn’t know it by listening to Democrats and the lap-dog media.

I’m really starting to like this guy!

They constantly pretend as though he hasn’t released any at all, and this, of course, means that Mitt must have something to hide!  It is a catch-22 setup that was meant to destroy Romney’s character.  The Democrats didn’t find anything they could really use in the returns that Romney has already released, so now they are demanding more.  But it isn’t working.

Romney is smartly sticking to his guns in the face of the Democrat’s demands, lies in the media, and even some establishment Republicans saying that he should cave (which just makes me want to slap the hell out of every single last one of them).  But if he were to give in, the Democrats would only scour whatever material Romney released for as much dirt as they could find, and if they didn’t really find any, they’d misrepresent the information, much as they are doing with the returns that Romney has already released.

The problem for the Democrats is that their current misrepresentations haven’t gained any real traction, even in the media that supports them with devotion.

Why is this such a huge problem?

Well, as Ann Coulter rightly pointed out in her recent article, Barack Obama has never won an election without waging a campaign of character assassination.

Not one single time.

Unfortunately, for Democrats, they have expended their entire arsenal trying to kill Romney’s character, and now they’re begging Romney to give them more ammunition.  He is right to refuse.  Even if he released five years of returns, they would demand ten years worth and then wonder (as loudly as they could and to anyone who would listen) what Romney supposedly has to hide.

Romney has frustrated the Democrats in this so much that Senate Leader Harry Reid even took to the Senate floor with wild claims that Romney never payed his taxes at all for ten years. The DNC and Reid are so out of touch that they believed this move would spur Romney into giving in to their demands.

Instead, people are laughing and shaking their heads in bewilderment, and Romney still holds firm.  You guys, I am really starting to warm up to Mitt Romney!

Reid’s “unsourced” accusations could easily have landed him in court had he made them any other place but the floor of the Senate, where anything may be said without penalty. My friends, that is how desperate the Democrats have become.

This entire episode with Romney’s tax returns was never primarily about creating a distraction from Obama’s poor performance on the economy, although it does serve that dual purpose. David Axelrod and company have known since Obama’s earliest days in Chicago that their guy is a loser, and that their only winning strategy is to turn their opponents into even bigger losers in the eyes of the public.

It is literally the only strategy that they have ever used.

They tried the Mormon thing…  It didn’t work.
They tried dog stories…  They backfired (Obama eats dog!)
They tried Romneycare…  Not working.
They pushed the “War on Women” narrative…  One of their own operatives killed it.
They tried attacking him for his work at Bain Capital…  That didn’t work, either.
They tried lying about when Romney was actively involved in Bain…  No dice.

They have even tried attacking Ann Romney for, of all things, her horseback riding and entering a show horse in the Olympics… Now THAT is desperate.

I’ve probably missed a few things, but the point is that none of the poo the Democrats are flinging is sticking to the wall.  Their desperation has led them to make laughable accusations, but recently it has morphed into something far more sinister…

In one of their riskiest moves yet, which I believe will backfire on them, they have stooped so low as to attempt to reduce the number of days that members of the military may vote in Ohio.

Yeah, like THAT’S not going to piss anyone off!

They rightfully believe that they own most of the media, and hope that their heinous actions won’t get reported enough to matter.  But they are so smug in that belief that they have forgotten an age-old rule of politics; all politics are local.

The members of our military certainly won’t take this lying down, and they have families who will be very vocal about it, too.  The local media isn’t likely to be able to ignore the story.  You can bet that Ohio’s Republican governor, John Kasich, isn’t going to be silent.

Making this notion of theirs public was an extreme miscalculation on the part of the Obama campaign, even if they end up backing down from it.

But desperation leads to unforced errors… often in direct proportion.

And Obama is very, very desperate.

Edit:  Due to Deborah’s comment below, I have had to revisit the Ohio lawsuit.  I apologize to readers for any confusion.  Unfortunately, there seems to have been some confusion about this in the major media, as well.

After having read from several different sources,  it appears that the Democrats are suing to block a new law from going into effect.  That part in my piece is accurate.  The confusion stems from the fact that this has been reported in different ways by different news outlets, and some of the outlets even contradict themselves.  Some outlets portray the law as adding three extra days for the military to vote.  Other outlets portray the law as having reduced the number of early voting by three days for everyone except for the military.  Oddly enough, some stories I read gave BOTH impressions.

The justification for reducing the early voting by three days is said to be that it would reduce out-of-control costs and the possibility of fraud.  Knowing how Mickey Mouse and Dick Tracy registered to vote in my former home state, I would agree that fraud is an issue.  However, I do not see how such a move would reduce costs if the polls must remain open for service members, nor do I see how reducing the number of days to vote effectively reduces fraud.  In such a case, I would have to reluctantly agree with the Democrats that this law would be pointless.

Either way, it is damned dangerous to mess with the military vote.  It could be much less dangerous for Obama than how I positioned it in my story, but dangerous all the same.  They must really feel like they will be in deep trouble there to take such a risk for a mere three days.

Since the lawsuit itself was not the main focus of this article, I failed to adequately research it for this opinion piece.  For that, I deeply apologize.
